- Press the Messages Button: Press the Messages hard key (the button with a cassette tape or envelope icon) on your Cisco 8841 phone.
- Enter Your Default PIN: Enter the temporary default PIN provided by your system administrator (frequently 1234) followed by the pound (#) key.
- Record Your Name: Follow the automated voice prompts to record your first and last name, then press #.
- Record a Personal Greeting: Record your standard out-of-office or general personal greeting, then press # to finish and save it.
- Change Your PIN: Follow the voice prompts to change your default PIN to a new private password (usually 4 digits).
