Google Chrome: "Opps trying to reconnect."

With the newest version of Google Chrome there have been issues with "oops trying to reconnect" This is the solution for the time being.


There are 2 parts to this fix. Here is Part 1


Go into your Chrome settings as shown here.



Next at the bottom click on "Show advanced settings"


Uncheck "Prefetch resources to load pages more quickly"



That's it for phase 1. 


Now on to phase 2.

Go to your address bar and type chrome://flags and hit enter





Scroll down about 1/3 of the page and look for "Experimental QUIC protocol" Change the dropdown box to say "Disabled".



Last step. At the bottom of the screen when you select disabled a box will come up from the bottom saying "Your changes will take effect the next time you relaunch. Click on the Relaunch Now button.



Chrome will close and reopen and you will no longer be getting the disconnect errors.
