Monitor mirroring/spanning

When using a TV with a computer, you have two options for displaying, mirroring and spanning. Spanning uses the projector as a secondary screen, while mirroring shows the same image on both screens. A majority of the time you will want mirroring turned on. You can turn it on with the following steps:


  1. Connect computer to the display (or extender.)

  4. Select which option you would like to display.
    1. Entire Screen - traditional "mirror display" the TV shows exactly what you see on the monitor.
    2. Window or App - Show a specific window on the screen, everything else is only on the monitor.
    3. Extended Display - Show only what you "drag" to the TV. The TV is treated as a separate display entirely.Start Mirroring menu, including the words:  What do you want to show on, the choices:  Entire Screen, Window or App, and Extended Display with associated icons, the sentence Everything you can see on your screen will be visible on, and the two button options Cancel and Start Mirroring.
  5. Chance the options at any time.
